2022 Dodge Challenger SRT

The raw power of the Dodge Challenger is best experienced from behind the wheel—but even on paper, this model stands out from everything else on the road today. 2023 might be the Challenger’s last call, but its makers certainly aren’t slowing down yet. According to Dodge, the 807-horsepower 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock is the quickest and most powerful muscle car in the world.

Our guide to the 2023 Dodge Challenger horsepower ratings covers all of the available trims in the main lineup, and not just the range-topping SRT Super Stock. But that’s not all.

Dodge is commemorating the Challenger’s last year with a limited run of seven unique designs—with at least three for the Challenger—built for enthusiasts who understand this model’s incredible legacy and lineage. One of these special edition models is even rumored to offer more than 900 horsepower—the most of any Challenger, ever—so don’t wait to let us know if you’d like a closer look.

2023 Dodge Challenger Special Editions

The suggestion that one or more 2023 Dodge Challenger configurations will offer more than 900 horsepower has neither been confirmed nor denied. The biggest reveal, for the last of these seven models, is slated for the 2022 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. It will take place from the 1st to the 4th of November.

With that said, we can’t resist the chance to run through what we know so far:

Dodge Challenger Shakedown

Based on the Shakedown concept that premiered in 2016, the 2023 Dodge Challenger Shakedown combines vintage red and black design elements for a classic look and feel. Highlights include:

  • 20-inch Low Gloss Black Slingshot wheels
  • 20-inch Carbon Black Warp Speed wheels (Widebody)
  • Premium Black Nappa/Alcantara seats with red stitching
  • Legendary cold-air-grabbing Mopar® Shaker hood
  • Red Brembo® brakes
  • “Shakedown” instrument panel badge

The Shakedown design is available for both R/T Scat Pack and R/T Scat Pack Widebody trims, in Destroyer Grey and Pitch Black exterior colors, respectively. Expect to find the 6.4L HEMI® V8 under the hood.

Dodge Challenger Scat Pack Swinger

The Challenger was still in its original heyday during the “swinging” 60s and 70s—and the Dodge Challenger Scat Pack Swinger pays homage to that lineage. Every Challenger Scat Pack Swinger achieves its unique look with the following features:

  • Gold School Scat Pack + Bee spoiler badge
  • Gold School Bee fender badges
  • 20-inch Gold School wheels
  • Black Brembo® brakes
  • Mod Grain wood-like aluminum interior bezel textures
  • Nappa/Alcantara seats with green stitching and green Dodge Rhombi logo
  • Green interior accent stitching

Swinger models get the 5.7-liter Hemi® “345” V8.

Dodge Challenger Black Ghost

Only 300 Dodge Challenger Black Ghost models will be manufactured, but we have a feeling this model will earn an enduring place in the annals of Challenger history. It stands out with the following features:

  • Black “gator skin” roof vinyl
  • Bright Dodge fascia badge
  • Black Brembo® brakes
  • 3.09:1 rear axle ratio
  • 20-inch Satin Carbon Warp Speed wheels
  • Black Mopar hood pins
  • Black Ghost interior instrument panel badge
  • Alcantara/Laguna leather seats and door bolsters

The Black Ghost unleashes the entirety of the 807-hp offered by the High-Output Supercharged 6.2L HEMI® V8.
